Drinks of Collegiate Times Past

Celebrated history you may have, Odessa, but I’m too subjective, too one-person-only to take in all of your stories. I have to look out for me.

 

When I think of Odessa, disregarding everything which it concerns that doesn’t touch me directly, I think of my least interesting, most tearful and altogether dumbest college days and I weep! Blech, Odessa! So maybe I’m being too hard on you. Maybe I’m letting my personal dispiriting Odessa-residing episodes obfuscate the fact that your environs are reliably dingy and unintimidating. I like that, Odessa. I like the darkness, the sootiness, the general diveyness.

 

But Odessa—you’re filled to the brim with NYU fools and their holdover successors! Why do I still sometime find myself patronizing your digs!? So long as you exist, Odessa, I will never progress.
