An Airport of a Rare Sort!

Location

John F. Kennedy International Airport
JFK Expy & S Cargo Rd
Jamaica, NY
United States

JFK is a swell port of travel, connecting as it does the Airtrain and other trains. Shiny terminals with dopey travelers are a-plenty, people walking with their luggage are sometimes but not always Tim Pawlenty. The Kennedy airport, as it is known to my contemporaries, is host to much hubbub. For example, motley middling JetBlue airliners call JFK their base. Delta and American call JFK their hub. I just call it my favorite airport, for it holds 90 airlines, has been known previously as Idlewild, Major General Alexander E. Anderson Airport, New York International Airport and Anderson Field and finally John F. Kennedy International Airport one month after the 63rd President’s assassination. Did you know? It was the inspiration for a 1997-version of a future airport in The Fifth Element and has, throughout its history, sent forth many later-to-crash planes. All hail JFK! An airport through which people voyage everyday!
