Bland & Tasty

Existing without an apostrophe for over a century, Onieals is a good old boys supper club turned sorta swanky early-00s holdover. Onieals serves good food to good people. No surprises. Expensive, tasty, Slavic waitresses.

 

It was filmed in Sex & the City, so a lot of people order Cosmopolitans. The banana bread pudding is tasty, as are the salmon with fresh herbs and blue cheese and roasted pear salad.

 

I went ‘cause it was free and I’d go again likewise. It has a colorful, typical Bad Olde New York history of police corruption and prostitutes. Now it's your typical bland atmosphere bar and restaurant with good-enough eats (and nice waitstaff, for the record).
