I just thought this was kind of funny.

Well, first of all, it’s funny that they’re making a sequel to Wall Street – you don’t usually see the critically-acclaimed serious movies sequelized, but then again there aren’t too many sci-fi nostalgia properties left to remake. Oscar bait is the final frontier. Can’t wait for Frost/Nixon: The Rematch!

Anyway, I clicked through this story and learned that the new Wall Street movie is subtitled “Money Never Sleeps” (which is technically true, because it’s money) and it will star Michael Douglas and Frank Langella, which makes this the most skeleton-heavy movie since the last Pirates Of The Caribbean.

Because Charlie Sheen is too busy being the highest-paid comedy actor in America (we’re in hell), Gordon Gekko needs a new character to mentor. So Shia LaBeouf will step into that role, and because he needs a love interest, they’ve cast some girl named Carey Mulligan.
