Could I be partially lame? How else to explain that I have not yet recommended this wonderful festival, and that even now, I haven’t left enough time this morning to write about it in depth.
 
The most important thing is that everyone at least knows that there is a Spike Jonze retrospective happening this week at the Museum of Modern Art, anticipating this week’s release of Where The Wild Things Are. Screenings include/included Spike’s previous movies, Being John Malkovich and Adaptation, movies Spike produced like Jackass The Movie and Heavy Metal In Baghdad, movies that influenced Spike such as The Black Stallion, and tons of his music videos, commercials, and short films. If you haven’t seen any of these yet, you must. Spike’s work is hilarious, first of all, and it all of it shares a worldly innocence and a strange beauty.
