As spring rolls on, three more vastly different films boldly enter the marketplace in search of paying customers. Openings should range from strong to moderate to abysmal, yet none looks to have a chance of removing Johnny Depp from the top spot. Once again though, the box office should exceed 2009’s stunning pace.
In week two of our mission to a stronger core, I am featuring the bicycle crunch. I honestly used to think these did nothing because they were so easy, but more recently I have discovered their true benefits. I'm also not gonna lie about the fact that I have been slacking off a little in this journey. I can also see the little difference I made slowly slipping away. It's time to get my head back into this stronger core challenge and push myself through these next six weeks.
On September 10th 2009 New York City took part in an epic global move in the fashion industry, Fashion's Night Out. It touched people as individuals and transformed the city for the sake of energizing the economy, in hopes that people would consume and therefore provide the necessary resources for fashion on all levels to exist.
Every year, numerous terrific songs slip through the cracks, mainly because producers and/or artists do not deem them “single worthy.” Often, this unfortunate fate happens to soundtrack cuts, usually because the people get the idea that the songs will not function outside of the context of the film. While that can be very true (particularly with musicals), the three recent soundtrack songs I’m recommending are remarkable because they work so well on their own. Three songs which you should seek out, one way or another.
Kale, Brassica oleracea, is highly nutritious, with powerful antioxidant properties and considered anti-inflammatory. High in beta cartene, vitamin K, vitamin C, lutein, zeaxanthin, and rich in calcium. It is a form of cabbage, rarely suffers from pest and diseases of other members of the cabbage family, and likes most soils.
So. We made it to all the places we had in mind to make it. But what’s the score of the game? And we should really celebrate that we made it to everything. And for all the champagne and building up towards the Open Call, someone (or two) certainly needed a well-deserved drink for going through such a feat.
When “30 Rock” began its second season in 2007, Tina Fey called guest star Jerry Seinfeld “the J.D. Salinger of television.” He makes this one masterpiece, and then disappears completely from the industry; in this case, retreating to the world of stand-up comedy. So, when Seinfeld announces a new project, it’s bound to attract much attention. DreamWorks’s “Bee Movie” (2007), which Jerry Seinfeld co-wrote, produced and provided voice work, was a delight; a clever, strange, challenging film that ranks among DreamWorks best.
Noam Chomksy will be in New York, Sunday for the closing of the Left Forum, a three day event this year called The Center Cannot Hold: Rekindling the Radical Imagination, with panel discussions on from nuclear power to US Imperialism & Oil Politics, the Fiscal Crises of the States, Transnational Labor Movements, Women, Militancy and Organizing to Why are we in Afghanistan?
Democracy Now! AMY GOODMAN interviewed Noam Chomsky today
For real, this time. Broadway and Spring. We’ve only got to make it down towards all the scaffolding, almost all the way to Canal. Who’d have thought when we set out for this evening that we’d be heading for an open model call for American Apparel?
Four new releases, each one targeting a different audience, show their way into multiplexes this weekend. None of them, however, have any hopes of dethroning “Alice in Wonderland” from number. Based on the strength of “Alice,” the box office should once again have a comfortable lead over 2009.
I've recently started doing an ab routine regularly and I can already see a difference! The key to great abs isn't sit ups and crunches, it has to do with your core as a whole and strengthening it in other ways than many people are used to. This is the first segment in how to really strengthen your abs and your core.
