I am completely into the Olympics, to the point where I recently cried at an Olympic commercial. The whole thing is so intense, both emotionally and physically. I love these athletes. I've been trying to watch everything ) except Curling - how is that seriously a sport?), and I particularly love the men's figure skating. From the night of the short program I immediately identified Evan Lysacek as my favorite. In his amazing black sparkly outfit wi

A little shop tucked away on 9th Street but packed with herbs and remedies. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and patient. I've heard ideas for supporting women's health going through menopause, suggestions for skin rashes, solutions for aiding sleep. And beside all this it just smells so darn good in there. In times for Valentine's they came out with a love potion, recipe below.
The Community Gardens Memorandum of Agreement of 2002 is due to sunset in Fall 2010. That agreement put 198 gardens on a list for preservation, joining 197 already on the list, and 100 Department of Education sites were saved. 153 were given the classification "subject to development" meaning they could be converted to housing, some of those have since been protected.
After a protracted fight for many years, in 2002 most community gardens in New York were protected by a legal agreement, signed by Governor Eliot Spitzer. That agreement expires September 2010.
The question community gardeners and supporters want to know is what happens now. To find out they will be meeting on Saturday, February 6 from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm to find out if their gardeners will become permanent once the agreement expires, or will city officials renew the agreement?
Meeting takes place at The New School at 66 West 12th Street, NYC

The Happy Ending Music and Reading Series at Joe’s Pub is one of the reasons why I love New York. It is a monthly event hosted by Amanda Stern and if I am in town, I try not to miss it because it is almost always amazing. It is named Happy Ending because it used to take place at the Happy Ending bar, but it has been happening at Joe’s Pub for almost a year now.
This is a hilarious new iPhone app. Specific to boys I would say, and useful in its own special way. Users can experience the longest fart ever and move the fart with 3D spatial sound. Just imagine all the applications for this app...
