1849. A sports bar. If you knew me, you would never think that I find myself in sports bars fairly often. I am from Pittsburgh and I have to go somewhere to watch the game and feel the Black and Gold. It’s in our blood, there is NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT IT. And oh, we are the Super Bowl Champions. Or at least, at the time this occurred (as opposed to the time it was written) we were.

I am completely into the Olympics, to the point where I recently cried at an Olympic commercial.  The whole thing is so intense, both emotionally and physically.  I love these athletes.  I've been trying to watch everything ) except Curling - how is that seriously a sport?), and I particularly love the men's figure skating.  From the night of the short program I immediately identified Evan Lysacek as my favorite.  In his amazing black sparkly outfit wi

Last night, the New Orleans Saints put on a great show in the challenge of beating the Indianapolis Colts. 31-17.  Awesome! It was clear that the Colts play a tighter game but the Saints played well and strong and seemed to make less mistakes as well as go for important play-decisions.  A big passing game.

The Bronx Dynasty Returns

In these days of H1N1 outbreaks, economic bailouts and shooting rampages, it's hard to find any cheer at all. But today (November 6th, 2009), a thunderous cheer resounded from the Bronx, spreading out across the nation., as the New York Yankees celerated the 27th Worold Series Championship. The team, which more championships than any other team in ALL professional sports, has added another trophy to their already blinding, gold filded case. But this victory is noteable because, for the first time in God knows when, the Yankees were the underdogs.
