Itinerary: Fashion's Night Out: Chanel (7)

Location

Chanel. My memory of Chanel resembles memories of art openings at galleries where there’s a wine reception. I took in the art. Even just the store, which I had never been into before (nerves, intimidation, timing) orients itself to a gallery rather than a store. Certain square pods exhibit clothing in a way that includes very few racks to peruse for your size. And there were very few people lounging about trying on shoes. The shoes that season were great, but without a doubt not the most extravagant and it seemed that no one wanted to splurge on a great jacket or blouse albeit less of an investment than a pair of 4” pumps. Shoes were easier to try on in that sort of event also. And manicures! Who'd have thought?
